A fabrication website states a steam generator heats water to produce steam in a single vessel under pressure. A water pump feeds in to the chamber containing heating elements where water is converted into steam when heated to boil under pressure. The same fabrication website states a steam boiler is a large pressure vessel with water heated to its boiling point by complex means. Steam will then flow through pipes to the equipment being heated.
