Do you see diesel costs and LP costs rising.  There is a break point to use electric and save money.  Reimers builds electric boilers for steam and hot water.  Calculations are easily done to compare units of equal energy between electric and other fossil fuels.  A kilowatt or KW of electric is less cost to commercial users and is 8 cents an hour.  A gallon of fuel oil is $4 ?   A equal amount of electricity is about $3.   Electricity is as close to 100% efficient as it gets.  Diesel is around 80% efficient so you even get more savings with electric. You are spending a 1/3rd more for diesel than if you had an electric powered boiler.
