Traceable elements will have the Reimers name, a series of numbers pertaining to the steel used, date code, model, and other markings. Unknown to buyers the traced elements were designed using ASME calculations, allowances, and fabrication methods. Pressure ratings are in excess of actual use. The elements are proven to meet a high potential voltage tested at 1250 volts or more before leaving the factory. Other considerations for safety and performance are watt density, sheath material, internal media used between the tube and wire. These are not often visible and may expose copy-cat parts if known.
